  2. In theory this is a reasonable enough idea, but it starts off from utterly the wrong assumption - that women should obey men. While understanding the needs of ones partner is all well and good, the underlying assumption behind this project means any genuine reciprocity in understanding is lost.

Why should a women be unquestionably "obedient" to a man? Where does one draw the line? At what point do ones own needs get accommodated?

Malaysian society desperately, desperately needs to rethink its attitudes toward sexuality and marriage, but not like this.

    * What about women's expectations, desires? How free do Malaysian women feel in being able to express or explore sexual desires with their partners? How can we ensure their partners (males or other females) feel comfortable with this and are able to respond positively?

    * How can society as a whole be helped to adopt a more mature and nuanced attitude towards the plurality of human sexuality, and handle without hysteria and moral panics issues such as fetishes, homosexuality, open relationships and more distantly related issues such as non-traditional family structures, transgendered and genderqueer individuals and so on. Just because society chooses to ignore these issues or pour scorn upon them will not make them go-away.

    * What role, if any, should the federal and state governments play in these issues? Should the government use the media to raise awareness about key issues?
